“Prince” isn’t the only title Harry is now holding. The Internet has recently dubbed him a true “gentleman” after a video posted by royal expert Omid Scobie showed the 37-year-old opening and closing the car door for Meghan Markle. Social media users have since been swooning over Harry’s romantic gesture. Meghan and Prince Harry joined his brother Prince William and wife Kate Middleton to meet mourners who gathered to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle on Saturday. This was the first time the four of them appeared together in public since the Queen’s death. The monarch passed away at age 96 at Balmoral Castle.

The Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared at the gates of Windsor Castle and walked around to greet well-wishers. Scobie tweeted: After chatting, hugging and sharing sympathies with members of the public for over 40 minutes, the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have headed back into the Windsor Estate together. Both couples left in the same car, driven by William. The Waleses had always been scheduled to greet well-wishers at Windsor Castle, but royal sources say the decision to invite the Sussexes was made in the eleventh hour. It is, without a doubt, a significant moment in the history of the relationship between the two brothers. Just as we saw after the death of Prince Philip and at his funeral, these are the moments when members of the royal family can put differences to one side to focus on the loss that has brought them together. Today’s public reunion was a show of the utmost respect to the Queen.
After Scobie posted the video, what got most of the Internet talking was Prince Harry’s sweet gesture toward his wife. one person tweeted: Harry opened the car door for Meghan and returned back to the other side to enter the car. My kind of gentleman. Another added: He’s always treated his wife with love and care. A third said: The British public has been so incited against Meghan she naturally expects them to be cruel to her. She used to hug and chat with everyone she came across but she is incredibly nervous now, not knowing what to expect. Harry knows this too and he is being there for her. Another fan also pointed out: Harry and Meghan also held hands.

A royal corresponded Emily Andrews was told that Harry is protective of his wife especially when it comes to her safety because he “couldn’t protect” his mother Princess Diana. In a news report for The Sun, a courtier told Andrews “It’s my opinion that Harry feels he couldn’t protect his mother, so he’s going all out to protect his wife. This is his way of atoning.” Princess Diana was hounded by paparazzi all her and she passed away in 1997 in a car crash after being chased by the paparazzi, reports Yahoo Movies. Harry himself opened up on docuseries The Me You Can’t See in 2021 telling Oprah Winfrey he felt “History was repeating itself.” “My mother was chased to her death while she was in a relationship with someone that wasn’t white, and now look what’s happened. You want to talk about history repeating itself? They’re not going to stop until [Meghan] dies,” he said according to Newsweek, referencing racism faced by Meghan in relation to Diana dating Dodi Fayed, the Egyptian Harrods heir. Diana was just 36 years old when she was killed in the Paris car crash along with Fayed.
